Population Study

In the various fields of healthcare, a population study is a study of a group of individuals taken from the general population who share a common characteristic, such as age, sex, or health condition. This group may be studied for different reasons, such as their response to a drug or risk of getting a disease.A research population is generally a large collection of individuals or objects that is the main focus of a scientific query. This is the reason why researchers rely on sampling techniques. A research population is also known as a well-defined collection of individuals or objects known to have similar characteristics.

Determine the total population of the study. The population will always be the bigger number of the sample size and population. The population is the whole group of people being studied. In the example, the population is the size of the high school being studied, so 250 people.Population size: The total number of people in the group you are trying to study. If you were taking a random sample of people across the U.S., then your population size would be about 317 million. Similarly, if you are surveying your company, the size of the population is the total number of employees
