Orthopedic trauma may be a severe injury to a part of the system, and sometimes the results of a sudden accident requiring immediate medical attention. While not all orthopedic trauma is life-threatening, it's life altering. Within the field of orthopedic medicine, trauma or orthopedic trauma is categorized as a severe injury to the weather of the system (muscles, joints, ligaments, bones, and soft tissue). These trauma injuries are often the results of a sudden accident, sort of a fall that needs immediate medical attention. Orthopaedic surgeons are dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders of the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Some orthopaedists are generalists, while others concentrate on certain areas of the body, such as: Hip and knee.
