Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy (CRT) is a broad term used to describe treatments that address the cognitive problems that can arise after a brain injury. Given the wide range of symptoms and severity of cognitive problems in individuals with brain injury, CRT does not refer to a specific approach to treatment. cognitive rehabilitation therapy is an important part of stroke and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. This refers to the process of relearning cognitive skills that were lost as a result of the injury. Often times, if skills can taught to help a patient compensate for their loss.
