Aquaculture-feeds

Aquaculture feeds, like most food products, have a finite shelf life and special handling requirements. To realize full economic and nutritional value of these feeds, it is necessary to store and handle them properly. Deterioration of feed quality during storage can be minimized by frequent rotation of the inventory and a concerted effort to maintain good housekeeping and environmental conditions that discourage the growth of mold and infestation by insects and rodents. Proper handling techniques can also reduce nutrient loss and pellet breakage just prior to feeding.
