Dr. Mohanta completed his PhD degree in 2011 from Dept. di Biologia Vegetale, University of Turin, Italy. From 2012-2014, Dr. Mohanta completed his postdoctoral training from National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi, India. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor in Dept. of Biotechnology, Yeungnam University, Gyeongsan, Republic of Korea. Dr. Mohanta is expertise in genomics, molecular biology and metabolomics. Genomic study is focused on functional evolution of kinase gene family (MAPK, CDPK), and calcium signaling (CDPK, CAM, CBL) and auxin signaling (PINS and PILS genes) events in plant. Molecular biology study involves interactions of kinases (MAPK and CDPK) and auxin signaling (PINS and PILS) events in plant. Metabolomics study involves, plant secondary metabolism and its role in plant stress tolerance. Research interest includes genomics and molecular aspects of plant growth, development and biotic and abiotic stress responses. Dr Mohanta has excellent publication record in his field of expertise.
