Subhrangsu Mandal

Biography

Subhrangsu Mandal is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Arlington. He received PhD from the Indian Institute of Science and postdoctoral studies at the University of Alberta and University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (HHMI).  Currently, his laboratory is investigating the epigenetic aspects of human gene regulation, chromatin dynamics, steroid hormone signaling, endocrine disruption, cholesterol homeostasis, hypoxia signaling and tumorigenesis. He is also developing drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular disease and cancer

Research Interest

Histone modification, chromatin dynamics, gene regulation and epigenetics, nuclear receptors, steroid hormone signaling, endocrine disruption, cholesterol homeostasis, hypoxia signaling and tumorigenesis and drug development.
