Dr. Shhyam Moorthy is Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Cancer Biology from the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center (ranked number 1 in “Best Hospitals for Cancer”, U.S. News and World reports). Over 8 years’ experience in pre-clinical research including 3 years of undergraduate honours research, 5 years of graduate research work and 1.5 years of clinical research. Currently working at the largest Phase 1 clinical trials group at M.D. Anderson to effectively translate pre-clinical research into targeted therapeutics. Exceptional scientific oratory skills demonstrated by presentations and awards at national conferences, scientific meetings and departmental seminars.
Extensive mechanistic and translational knowledge of immunotherapy and targeted therapy clinical trials in solid tumors. Ability to multi-task over 5 clinical trials including investigator initiated and sponsor initiated trials Advised PI and co-PI’s on patient eligibility, enrollment, concomitant medications, related adverse events and tumor evaluation per RECIST criteria.
