Biography

Dr. Selvam Kaliyamoorthy, born on 20th April,1981 obtained his bachelor and master degrees in Chemistry from Bharathidasan University, India. He received his Ph.D. (2011) in chemistry from Annamalai University, India under the guidance of Prof. M. Swaminathan. He subsequently joined Prof. Yasuhiro Shiraishi research group as a postdoctoral fellow, Osaka University, Japan. After completing his tenure (March, 2015), He is currently working as a RCMS-research fellow in The Noyori Laboratory, Graduate School of Sciences and RCMS, Nagoya University, Japan with research interest in heterogeneous photocatalysts for CO2 fixation with C-C bond formation. Recently he has been awarded prestigious JSPS fellowship from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Japan, His research interests are, environmental remediation, Solar Energy Conversion (Artificial Photosynthesis: water splitting, carbon dioxide transformation, Photocatalysis), Catalyst design and catalysis based synthesis, Green Chemistry, Organic chemistry, Fluorescent Sensors, Organometallic Materials. Right now, he has published forty-four papers in reputed International Journals with total impact of 118.71 and h index 17
