Porunelloor A. Mathew is Associate Professor of Molecular Biology and Immunology, University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, Texas and also Associate Director for basic research, Institute for Cancer Research, UNTHSC, Fort Worth. Dr. Mathew received his PhD in Biochemistry in 1987 from University of Pune, India. He did postdoctoral fellowships at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is a reviewer for several journals. Dr. Mathew was awarded a US patent for “Immuno activation of CS1 receptor in Natural Killer cells to inhibit tumor cell growth”. Dr. Mathew’s research has opened new NK cell based targeted immunotherapy for cancer.
