Biography

Dr. Paramjot Kaur is currently working as a post-doctoral research fellow and contributing as a Co-PI on a project involving chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy in Multiple Myeloma along with assisting with other cancer-related studies. • Engaged in drug discovery research as well as developing research proposals, assist in developing research strategies, and study protocols, creating and managing research project budget, making presentations, and seeking grant funding. Most recently, I received the President’s faculty research and development grant at NSU. • Designated as the cell culture lab manager responsible for ensuring compliance with protocols as well as applicable safety regulations, and inventory control. • Assisting, teaching and guiding graduate and undergraduate students in their research projects. • Proficient in research lab techniques such as cell culture, PCR, microarray studies, biomarker & pharmacokinetics analysis, western blotting, protein purification & expression analysis, and Immunofluorescence, ELISA assay, immunohistochemistry assay, UV and Vis Spectrometry.

Research Interest

Cancer prevention, drug discovery, diagnostic biomarkers and related pathways as interventional targets for cancer prevention/treatment, testing the efficacy of natural products and therapeutic molecules against chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy in Multiple Myeloma, in vitro as well as in vivo studies, evidence based medicine and population health.
