Omar F. Attarabeen, M.S., R.Ph., is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Pharmaceutical Systems and Policy, School of Pharmacy, West Virginia University (WVU). Mr. Attarabeen received the bachelor degree in pharmacy in 2009 from Jordan University of Science & Technology, and the Master’s degree in Health Outcomes in 2013 from WVU. He is affiliated with many educational and research-oriented organizations such as West Virginia Clinical & Translational Science Institute and International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research.
His research is focused on three topics: Health Behavior, Pharmacy as a Profession, and Pharmacy Education. Research topics conducted within WVU is mostly focused on utilization of health care services and preventive health behavior (chiefly prevention of colorectal cancer and lung cancer), especially among minorities. In addition to his interest in teaching and in conducting research, Mr. Attarabeen is currently the Pharmacist-in-Charge and the Pharmacy Manager at Bruceton Pharmacy, Bruceton Mills, WV.
