I Dr Morali D Sharma am an associate professor in the department of medicine division of endocrinology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas I received my residency training in internal medicine at Cook County hospital in Chicago and fellowship training in endocrinology at Baylor College of Medicine I have been a clinician researcher and an educator at Baylor for 17 years My main research interests are diabetes and pituitary disorders mainly acromegaly and hypopituitarism I have conducted clinical trials both industry sponsored and investigatorinitiated in the areas of diabetes hypertension growth hormone replacement in adults and acromegaly I have been involved in both didactic and bedside education of medical students residents and endocrinology fellows and I received Faculty Excellence Award in teaching and evaluation in 2004
