Dr. Melissa Wilson attended the University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences and obtained her Masters of Public Health Degree in Epidemiology from the University of Southern California at Los Angles in 1994. Dr. Wilson pursued her doctorate in Epidemiology at the University of Southern California, remaining there for a Postdoctoral position and subsequently accepting a faculty position with a joint appointment in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Preventive Medicine in 2006.
Her research interests include genetic susceptibility to Preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome, the long-term consequences of HELLP Syndrome, Hyperemesis Gravidarum, epigenetic regulation of placental development, Gestational Trophoblastic Disease and in-utero programming.
