Dr. Megha Garg received her medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, India. She worked as a research assistant with Dr. Beena Sood at Children’s Hospital of Michigan on necrotizing enterocolitis. During her internal medicine training, she worked on epidemiologic studies of finding the prevalence of Extra- Pulmonary Tuberculosis in the flagship teaching hospital Cone health of the Cone Health System in North Carolina. She did her rheumatology fellowship from National Institutes of Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases of National Institutes of Health where she studied various Autoimmune diseases and Autoinflammatory diseases. She is currently working as an Associate Investigator in the Autoinflammatory division at National Institutes of Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Diseases.
Studying natural history and effects of treatment in the rare Interleukin- 1 mediated Autoinflammatory diseases like Neonatal Onset Multisystemic Diseases with onset in infancy (NOMID) and Deficiency of IL-1 Receptor Antagonist (DIRA).
