Marina Nikitovic

Biography

Dr. Marina Nikitovic received her education in Belgrade, Serbia. She graduated from The Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade in 1984. She has been working at The Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia, which is also a National Cancer Research Centre, since 1987. After specialising in Radiology in 1991, she worked as a radiation oncologist in the Paediatrics Department. In the year 2000, she became the Head of the Radiotherapy Department. From the beginning of her career, she has been very involved in neuro-oncology, which is still her main clinical interest. Her PhD thesis, completed in 2001, is in this field, as well. She is the chairman of the Brain Tumours Committee at the Institute. She is also an assistant professor of Radiation Oncology for undergraduates and postgraduates at the Faculty of Medicine. In addition, she is a Mentor for Brain tumours, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Bone tumours and Paediatric Radiation Oncology.
