Mariana Costa Duarte is a Brazilian researcher with experience in parasitology, immunology, molecular biology, proteomics, immunoproteomics, molecular diagnosis, with application on development of treatment, vaccines and diagnosis of leishmaniasis. She obtained the PhD (2015) in Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Faculty of Medicine of Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. She is currently professor and researcher in Depar tment of Clinical Pathology/COLTEC of the UFMG
