Dr. Kenneth Maiese is a physician-scientist who has been fortunate to receive international recognition with outstanding research honors, teaching awards and election to America′s Top Physicians and top Doctors as well as serving as Professor and Chair of Neurology and Neurosciences (UMDNJ) and Chief of Cellular and Molecular Cerebral Ischemia at Wayne State University. His investigations translate basic science into successful therapeutic treatments for conditions such as cancer, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, stroke and Alzheimer′s disease. He is a top cited author with continuous funding from the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, the Bugher Foundation, Johnson and Johnson Focused Giving Award, and the NIH. Dr. Maiese holds several patents, has over 280 publications and has authored 5 books.
