Liz Karter

Biography

Liz Karter is specialist in gambling addiction and women and founder of Level Ground, the City of London and Sussex based practice. Working in the area of gambling addiction since 2001, she established and now facilitates through Level Ground the first UK womens groups for problem gambling. Throughout her career Liz has made frequent national & international television broadcasts including ITVs This Morning (2010 & 2014) and Al Jazeera America (2014) and Sky News (2014. Her extensive radio broadcast experience includes Radio 4s Womans Hour & You and Yours. Liz has given numerous national newspaper and magazine interviews and is a regular conference speaker. Liz is also a highly experienced trainer in gambling addiction psychology prevention & treatment for both treatment providers and the gambling industry Liz is author of the book Women and Problem Gambling published 2013 and her new book "Working With Womens Groups for Problem Gambling; treating gambling addiction through relationship will be published by Routledge, 30th August 2014.
