Dr. Packard received her Doctor of Pharmacy and Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences degrees from Creighton University in 2001. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship in cardiovascular research at the Cardiac Center of Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Packard joined the Nebraska Heart Institute in 2003 as Director of Research. In 2007, she returned to Creighton University as faculty in the department of Pharmacy Practice. Dr. Packard provides inpatient clinical pharmacy services to patients in the cardiac unit at the Bryan Health Medical Center East and outpatient services at the cardiac rehabilitation clinic at Bryan Health LifePointe. She currently teaches cardiovascular pharmacotherapy to pharmacy students and conducts research in many areas of cardiovascular therapeutics, primary prevention and related pedagogy.
