Howard Abadinsky was an inspector for the Cook County, Illinois, Sheriff’s Office and a New York State parole officer and senior parole officer. He holds a masters degree from the Fordham University School of Social Service and a Ph.D. in sociology from New York University. Dr. Abadinsky is the author of several books, including Organized Crime, Law and Justice, Drug Use and Abuse, and Probation and Parole. He served as a consultant to the President’s Commission on Organized Crime and serves as an expert witness in organized crime cases.
