1981: graduated from Tohoku University School of Medicine, Sendai ,
1981-1983: clinical resident (general surgery) at Mito National Hospital
1983: entered Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine,　
(Department of Neurosurgery),Sendai, Japan
1983 – 1984: trained as a research fellow at 2nd Department of Pathology,
Tohoku University school of Medicine, Sendai, Japan
1987: graduated from Tohoku University Graduate School of
Medicine and obtained Igaku-Hakushi, equivalent to Ph.D. 1988
