Giovanni Targher is Assistant Professor of Endocrinology and Diabetology at the University of Verona Medical School Verona Italy He has received the MD Degree from the University of Verona in 1991 and is a Board Certified Specialist in Endocrinology and Diabetology University of Verona from 1996 He received several awards or prizes from the Italian Society of Diabetology the Italian Association of Clinical Endocrinologists the Italian Society for the Study of Atherosclerosis and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists He is serving as an editorial board member of reputed journals eg Clinical Science Diabetes Care and reviewer of several international journals including the most important journals in the field of endocrinology and metabolic disorders He is also a grant reviewer for scientific Institutions Diabetes UK He has published over 200 full length papers on international journals indexed in Current Contents and PubMed
