Dr. Liang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at the University of New Mexico. He obtained his B.Sc. in Chemistry from National Taiwan University and M.S. in Organic Chemistry from National Chiao-Tung University under the supervision of Dr. Tse-Lok Ho. He got his Ph.D. in Bioorganic Chemistry from the Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, in Dr. Chi-Huey Wong’s group and did a postdoctoral research in Dr. Gerald Crabtree’s lab at Stanford Medical School before he joined the faculty of the University of New Mexico in 2012.
Dr. Liang’s research interests involve applying the concepts of controlling proximity to develop novel interdisciplinary tools for miRNA regulation, protein engineering and synaptic remodeling.
