Dr. Faming Wang earned his Ph.D degree in ergonomics from Lund University. He also holds a Licentiate of Philosophy degree in ergonomics from Lund University. Before joining Lund University, he spent six months as a research associate at the Sports Leisure Textile Research Center, Inha University (Korea). From 2011 to Feb. 2012, he was a project manger at the Thermal Environment Laboratory in Lund University. He joined EMPA as a Marie Curie research fellow in March 2012. In Jan. 2013, Dr. Wang was prompted to full professor of fashion design and engineering at Soochow University, China.
Prof. Wang has authored and co-authored over 80 publications including 33 peer-reviewed journals, 35 conference proceedings, 5 technical reports and 6 books/book chapters. His research work has been widely reported by many leading magazines and newspaper such as Life Science Weekly, Science Letter, Health & Medicine Week, Ecology, Envrionment & Conservation, AATCC Review and Journal of Technology. In addition, he serves as an editorial member for Journal of Ergonomics and Industria Textila (ISI Web of Science indexed journal, impact factor 0.291). He also acts as an active reviewer for more than 20 peer-review journals, e.g., Appl Ergon, Ann Occup Hyg, Eur J Appl Physiol, Material Design, Text Res J, Int J Biometeorol and Int J Therm Sci. Besides, Prof. Wang is an external reviewer for two prestigious funding bodies -- the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong and the Croatian Science Foundation (CSF).
