Dr. Enrique Hernandez received his MD in 1977 from the University of Puerto Rico School Of Medicine. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1981 and a fellowship in gynecologic oncology in 1983. He has been on the faculty of The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine the Medical College of Pennsylvania and is now at Temple University where he is the Abraham Roth Professor and Chairman of Obstetrics Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences and professor of pathology. His research in gynecologic oncology has produced two books and over 145 articles. He is the recipient of many honors and awards. He has been active in multiple professional organizations having served as president of several. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society and on the Board of Trustees of the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
