As a surgeon-operator / assistant performed more than 7000 vascular procedures and 1.200 open heart surgical procedures. From November 1993. worked as general and vascular surgeon, at the Department for Vascular Surgery, IKVB Dedinje. More than 3.500 operative procedures performed by himself. Dr Popov used to be an active member of the experimental and clinical surgical transplant team for liver transplantation.
