Biography

Dr. Upadhyay completed his Master degree (M. Pharm) from School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal Academic of Higher Education (MAHE), Karnataka, India, in 2003. He worked as a Lecturer in department of pharmacology from August 2003 to August 2006 and continued in the same profession as Assistant Professor until July 2014 in Manipal College of Medical Sciences (MCOMS) and Manipal Teaching Hospital (MTH), Pokhara, Nepal. Dr. Upadhyay was head of department of Hospital & Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacovigilance (PV) Center and Drug Information Center (DIC) during his working tenure in MCOMS & MTH. He was member secretary of Manipal Drugs and Therapeutics Committee and Antimicrobial review committee of Manipal Teaching Hospital. Dr. Upadhyay was awarded with PhD degree in Social & Administrative Pharmacy (Specialization: Pharmacy Practice) by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia in 2014. At the post of Assistant Director and Associate Professor, he also served Bhagwant Group of Institutions, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, India. At present, he is Associate Professor in Unit of Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacy Practice, AIMST University, Malaysia. During his 12 years journey of teaching, administrative and academic research, he has published 45 research publications in peer reviewed National and International journals and written several articles in bulletins.
