Biography

Dr. Bhattacharyya completed his PhD in Chemistry from Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science in 2001. He joined at Chemistry department of Indiana University, Bloomington as a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Jeffrey M. Zaleski where his research was focused on ‘Synthesis cyclic and acyclic enediynes and their cyclization studies. He then investigated on molecular probe development at Indiana University School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School with Prof. Timothy R. DeGrado. In 2009, Dr. Bhattacharyya started a new imaging probe development program at NCI-Frederick under SAIC to support cancer imaging program of NCI with novel imaging probe for preclinical and clinical studies.
