Dr. Anji is a Research Associate Professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University. She received her MD degree from Bangalore University, India, and her PhD degree in Pharmacology/Neuroscience from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. During her post-doctoral training she studied the molecular effects of alcohol on NMDA receptors. Currently her work focuses on the effect of alcohol on mRNA stability of a NMDA receptor. She is a member of the Society for Neuroscience and the Research Society on Alcoholism.
Her research interests include neurobiology of addiction, effect of alcohol on mRNA stability and expression of RNA binding proteins.
