Dr. Alejandro R Rodriguez, is the Director of Robotic and Laparoscopy Surgery, Urology
Oncology & Urologic Reconstruction for the Department of Urology at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He received his Medical Degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara where he graduated as top of his class, and completed his Urology residency at the University of South Florida. His postgraduate training includes serving as Clinical Fellow in Urology Oncology – Laparoscopy, and Chef d’Clinique Assistant of the University of Rennes 1 in France; Urology Oncology Clinical Fellow in H Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute; and Chief Resident in Urology at the University of South Florida.
Surgical treatment of urologic malignancies with minimally invasive approaches such as robotics and laparoscopy. His research focuses on clinical outcomes of genitourinary malignancies treated surgically, surgical innovations and new technology applied to the surgical treatment of urologic diseases, and methods of training the surgeon urologist of the future.
