  Transdermal drug delivery refers to a system in which a fixed amount of drug is delivered across the skin over a period of time to the bloodstream so as to maintain a therapeutic level of that drug. This method of drug delivery is painless and has excellent compliance in both pediatric and geriatric age bracket because it is pain-free and hassle free and doesn't need any specialized equipment for its use.
