    Hepatitis C and its Outcome in Patients of Malignancy Receiving Chemotherapy in Comparison to Non-Malignant Patients

    Introduction: Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) is an RNA virus that belongs to the family of flaviviruses. Chronic hepatitis C infection is a very common disease globally affecting over 180 million people. It is a leading cause of chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, and liver cancer and a primary indication for liver transplantation. As we move to the new era of oral antivirals as the treatment of hepatitis C we needed to see their efficacy and safety in patients with hepatitis C and underlying malignancy compared to the patients with hepatitis C without malignancy.
