Biography
Yutaka Shoji received a M.Sc degree from Shizouka University in Food Science and a PhD degree in Nutrition and Environmental Science also from Shizouka University. He has significant training to include a Post Doctoral Research Resident Fellowship from the Foundation for Promotion of Cancer Research (Japan) in a Cancer Prevention Basic Research Project under the direction of Dr. Wakabayashi at National Cancer Center Research Institute (Japan) following his doctoral degree. He completed an additional Post Doctoral fellowship in the Department of Physiology of Dr. S. J. Tsai at the National Cheng Kung University Medical College (Taiwan). Following post doctoral training he was Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gyneocology of Keio University School of Medicine (Japan). Dr. Shoji joined the Risinger lab at the Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute in Savannah Georgia. His research focuses on on the ATAD2 gene in gynecologic cancer.
