Vidya Patni is an Associate Professor Botany & Joint Director Biotechnology, University of Rajasthan, India. Previously she worked in ISCA Jaipur Chapter. As convener of Indian Science Congress Association, ISCA Jaipur chapter she worked to spread scientific awareness among rural society, inculcated scientific temper inchildren of schools in rural areas in and around the state. She is keenly interested to work for the cause of higher education,international scientific co-operation and literacy mission.
Research interests include isolation of medicinally important compounds from bone healing plants,micropropagation of threatened species of semi arid lands ,isolation of gallotannins from insect induced galls,extraction of dye from galls.Teaching interests are Cell and Molecular Biology,Pathology and Plant Biotechnology,Other interests include anchoring and public speaking.
