Biography

 Dr. Wongwiwat thananukit’s Education proceeded as so.B.Sc. in Pharmacy (First Class Honors), Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prince of Songkhla University, Songkhla, Thailand.Pharm.D. (Summa Cum Laude) from College of Pharmacy, University of Illinois at Chicago, USA.M.Sc., Pharmacy Practice, Purdue University, USA.Ph.D., Pharmacy Practice, Purdue University, USA.Certified in Tobacco Intervention Skills (Hawaii State Health Department).Certified in Pharmacy Based Immunization Delivery for a Faculty Trainer (American Pharmacists Association).Registered Pharmacist - States of Hawaii, Illinois, and Thailand.

Research Interest

 Dr. Wongwiwatthananukit’s research focuses on four research themes which include:

 
(1) development and validation of an instrument to assess humanistic outcomes (e.g., health-related quality of life, self-efficacy, life-long learning); 
 
(2) applying state of the art health outcomes research and pharmacoeconomic analysis to conduct translational comparative effectiveness research and to inform patients, providers, and decision-makers about which interventions, especially medication therapy, are most clinically and cost-effective for specific patients under specific circumstances and ultimately serve to improve community healthcare practices with larger and more diverse populations; 
 
(3) evaluation of the patient-oriented pharmacy services, medication therapy management, and clinical trials in the areas of tobacco cessation, dyslipidemia, obesity, diabetes, self-care, self-medication/herbals and dietary supplements; 
 
(4) characterization of metabolomic profiles of natural products using multivariate statistics.
