Siqueira-Batista R has a degree in Medicine (Infectious and Parasitic Diseases) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He completed post-doctoral internships at the Laboratory of Experimental Physics of High Energies of the Brazilian Center for Physical Research in 2008 and at the Department of Ecology of the Biology Institute of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2010.
