Biography

Dr. Schwarz received his medical degree from the Medical School of Hannover, Germany, in 1984, where he completed a doctorate in experimental pathology in 1985.He underwent a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Pittsburgh Cancer Institute and the Department of Pathology, University of Pittsburgh, as well as a surgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. This was followed by a surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He then joined the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, California, as attending surgeon.
