Dr. Robert Chan graduated with a degree in biology from Stanford University in California and earned his medical degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his residency training in urology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and fellowship in male and female incontinence and neuro-urology at Houston Methodist Hospital.
Dr. Chan has been in practice since 2013. His clinical interests include neuro-urology, incontinence, female urology, minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery. He provides surgical and nonsurgical specialized treatment for male and female incontinence, pelvic and bladder related conditions and treats urologic conditions such as BPH, kidney stones, prostate cancer and male sexual health.
Fluent in Taiwanese and speaking basic Spanish, Dr. Chan treats patients 18 years and older. He believes in practicing evidence-based medicine while incorporating state-of-the-art innovations. His patients respect his courtesy, compassion, attentiveness and ability to put them at ease.
Houston residents, Dr. Chan and his wife, who is a pediatric endocrinologist, have one son.
