Dr MR Shende, Professor and Head had done his MBBS in 1979 and MS (Anatomy) in 1984 from Government Medical College, Nagpur from Nagpur University. He has vast teaching experience for Undergraduate and Post graduate of more than 30 years. He has served for Maharashtra Govt. as teaching post in various Govt. Medical Colleges. Besides being an approved UG & PG teacher & examiner in MUHS Nashik he is associated with many other universities as examiner. He has guided more than 6 students for their MD, MS and DNB in Anatomy. He has around 10 Research papers in his credit. He is in Editorial Board members of Journal of MGIMS. Under his guidance department has scaled newer heights. He was organising secretary of the CME on Anthropometry in November 2011. He is life member of Anatomical Society of India & Indian Society of Human Genetics. He has delivered number of Guest lectures at various places on Genetics & Histology. His area of interest includes Cytogenetics. He has taken special training of Cytogenetics from St. Johns, Medical College Bangalore. He has established Genetics lab in various Govt. Medical Colleges. He is firm believer of use of latest technologies in medical education. Presently he is approved PhD as well as PG Guide of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
