Pharmacological Options in Cushing's Syndrome

The endogenous Cushing?s syndrome is a pathology which represents a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge for the specialist. Even though surgery is the first-line treatment, it is common to resort to pharmacological therapy in the preoperative setting because of the clinical instability or because the purpose is improving the medical condition of the patient before the surgery. Furthermore, because of the low successful rates with the surgical approach, the adjuvant pharmacological treatment ranks the first place because its purpose is to improve the possibilities of disease remission.
