Working as senior-lecturer at the department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Utrecht in the Netherlands.
Following graduation as a pharmacist (Utrecht University, 1978) she was teaching as well as practising in community pharmacies ni Utrecht and Amsterdam for 13 years. In 1996 she defended her PhD thesis at the University of Utrecht, which concerned a study about patient education in community pharmacy. Currently she is responsible for the student internships (in community and hospital pharmacies). With the participating pharmacies, the UPPER network has been developed, which offers promising opportunities for pharmacy practise research
