Hanrui Zhang obtained her PhD in pharmacology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is the author of more than 30 papers in the field of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases on international peer reviewed journals, including Circulation Research, PNAS, ATVB, BRC, JMCC, AJP-Heart, Clinical Science, and Obesity, etc. She published >20 abstracts, co-authored 1 book chapter, and is serving as a reviewer for more than10 journals. Research Interests: Dr. Zhang’s research focuses on the role of macrophages in cardiometabolic diseases utilizing functional genomics approaches, CRISPR/Cas gene editing and human iPSC differentiation to macrophages and rodent models.
