Biography
Dr. Ciaran McNamee is a thoracic surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center. He is chief of thoracic surgery at Milford Regional Medical Center and is an instructor in surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. McNamee received his medical degree from McGill University in Canada and completed a surgery residency at University of Alberta Hospital as well as cardiothoracic surgery residencies at Broadgreen Hospital and Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. He completed a clinical fellowship in thoracic surgery at the University of Manitoba and a research fellowship in thoracic surgery at the University of Alberta. Board certified in surgery and thoracic surgery, Dr. McNamee holds a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS). Dr. McNamee's clinical interests include lung cancer, lung cancer screening and esophageal cancer. His research focuses on mutational changes in lung cancer, regional outcome analysis and telemedicine. Dr. McNamee has been listed as one of America’s Top Doctors by Castle Connolly.
