Professor, Department of Pharmacology, College of Medicine, University of Illinois, USA

Biography
Carnegie GK is presently a Professor in Department of Pharmacology from University of Illinois, USA. Currently, he is particularly interested in the process of cardiac hypertrophy, which is often a major component underlying cardiovascular disease. Work in the Carnegie laboratory is directed towards understanding scaffolding complexes mediated by A-Kinase Anchoring Proteins.
Research Interest

Carnegie GK research is focused on understanding how the coodination of signal transduction by scaffolding and subcellular targeting of proteins can regulate physiological functions. The goal of this research is to determine how the disruption of signaling complexes can lead to pathogenesis.Currently, he is particularly interested in the process of cardiac hypertrophy, which is often a major component underlying cardiovascular disease.
