Biography

The hospital is a leading multi speciality NABH accredited, referral and teaching 925 bed hospital of India. Specialised high quality clinical and research work is carried out in almost all specialities with emphasis on Multi Organ Transplant and Genetics. The Hospital has an outstanding Radiology Department equipped with 128-slice Philips Ingenuity CT, Siemens 3 Tesla MRI, 16-slice GE CT-PET, Siemens Ultrasound and Doppler, CR and DR systems, and a Dedicated Cath Lab for Interventional Radiology. I am doing high volume dedicated work in Cardiac CT for Coronary Artery Evaluation, with special interest in Coronary artery anomalies and Cardiac Functional Analysis, in association with the team at Dharam Vira Heart Centre in the Hospital and other Cardiologists from North India. I am working extensively on Congenital heart diseases and am part of the Core team of the Pediatric Cardiac Sciences. I am engaged full time in the teaching programme for the National Board of Examinations for postgraduate studies in Radio diagnosis and almost all other clinical specialities and super-specialities. Theory and Practical Examination oriented classes are also conducted for the postgraduate students in Radiology from other Institutions all over the country. Appointed non Examiner Coordinator for DNB examination held in the hospital. I am also carrying out training classes for CT technologists training as part of the Hospital setup and in association with Philips Healthcare. I am in the process of designing SCCT Level 1 & 2 courses for Cardiac CT Training in India and South East Asia with Philips. I am on the organising team of Imaging Today (a non profit educational organisation) for furthering medical education by holding various CMEs in collaboration with UCSF. The CMEs held recently have covered almost all branches i.e, Musculoskeletal, Hepato-biliary & Pancreatic, Cardiovascular, Neurology & Genetics, and Head & Neck Radiology. A “Head to Toe” CT & MRI course is also planned for the next year. It also hosts a website to discuss complex and uncommon radiology cases. I am actively involved in the coordination of maintenance of quality standards, radiation protection and safety in the Department. Consultant Radiologist Alchemist Hospital, Chandigarh (Panchkula, Hry) : 2008-2010 Alchemist is a corporate boutique hospital, one of its kind at Panchkula, where multi speciality facilities for cardiac surgery, joint replacement, nephrology and critical care medicine are available. The radiology department at Alchemist Hospital has a state-of-the-art Siemens Dual Source 64-slice CT Scanner. I had been doing coronary and whole body angiographies and other advanced CT applications on it. Also worked on the latest GE Voluson Pro ultrasound Doppler machine for 3D/4D ultrasound, obstetric, carotid and peripheral Dopplers. Consultant Radiologist Okay Diagnostic & Research Centre, Jaipur : 2005-2008 Worked on the then latest CT & MR machines : 64 slice GE Volume CT, 1.5 Tesla Siemens Magnetom Avanto & GE Signa MR units. Worked extensively on Volume CT conducting coronary, peripheral, spinal and whole body angiographies and venograms; virtual endoscopies, virtual bronchoscopies and various other applications on a daily basis. I worked extensively on Neuroradiology, Orthopaedic and Abdominal MRIs as well. Had been teaching Post Graduate Students of Radiology and guiding thesis work as the center is recognized by National Board of Examinations, India for DNB in Radiodiagnosis. Okay Diagnostic & Research Centre has complete Radiology and Pathology diagnostic facilities including Digital X-Ray, 3-D and 4-D Sonography, Doppler, Echo, OPG, Mammography. It also has Siemens Dual Source CT, Philips 64 slice Brilliance CT and Philips 3 Tesla MRI. Consultant Radiologist ( CT & MRI ) Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital , Jaipur. 2000 - 2005 Pioneered work on the First Spiral CT of the country. Graduated to work on Light speed GE-16 for coronary and whole body angiographies. Worked on 0.5 & 1Tesla GE MRI for almost Neurology and body MRIs. Trained and Taught DNB students at S.D.M.H. which is a 550 bed super-specialty and teaching hospital recognized by National Board of Examinations for DNB in Radiodiagnosis and other specialities and is the premier Medical Institute of Rajasthan. Consultancy to S.M.S Medical College and Hospital for Cardiovascular and Abdominal CT & MRI. Consultant Radiologist Camberwell Diagnostic and Medical Research Centre, Jaipur. 1996 - 2000 Worked on Siemens AR – C CT machine and the 0 .2 Tesla open GE MR for Neurology, Orthopaedic and Whole body applications.Trained the post graduate students of Jayklon Children Hospital (Unit of S.M.S Medical College) in CT and MRI.
