Wildfires are a natural part of many ecosystems, yet they have
become an increasingly significant concern due to the intensified
frequency and severity of fires driven by climate change, human
activities, and land-use practices. The effects of fire on tree species
and forests are complex and can vary greatly depending on the
intensity, frequency, and ecological context of the fire. While fire
can have detrimental effects, it can also play a role in maintaining
ecosystem dynamics, fostering species diversity, and promoting
forest regeneration. Understanding both the immediate and long-
term consequences of fire on tree species is essential for effective
forest management and conservation strategies.
