Forests are more than just carbon sinks and biodiversity
hotspots-they are living pharmacies and warehouses of raw
materials that have supported human civilization for centuries.
From timber and fuelwood to resins, fibers, oils, and medicinal
plants, forest ecosystems offer a vast array of resources critical for
economic development, healthcare, and industrial use. The
sustainable management of these forest resources is key to
preserving ecological integrity while ensuring long-term benefits
for communities and industries alike.
