It has always been the policy of the Editorial Board of the
journal Applied Microbiology Open access to accept papers on
the borderline between immunology, microbiology, medical
microbiology, agricultural microbiology etc. Microbiology aspects
have always been an important tool for investigation in these two
fields. Both microbes research and applied microbiology are going
through a period of rapid development, and it is felt that neither
of them, nor—as a matter of fact—microbiology, can satisfactorily
progress without intimate knowledge of the developments in the
neighbouring fields.
We also feel that a need exists for additional facilities for the
publication of the results in microbes and its physical nature
research, especially in their relation to protection.
