Systemic Sclerosis

Systemic sclerosis is also referred as scleroderma.Systemic Sclerosis is an chronic autoimmune disorder. Symptoms includes accumulation of collagen by injuries to the smallest arteries leads to thickening of the skin at the fingers ends.

Systemic Sclerosis is a type of connective tissue disorder. In this disease there is deposition of extra collagen under the skin. This leads to thickening of the skin cells. Systemic Sclerosis also results in the injuries occurring in the arteries. This leads to disorders in the circulatory system as the oxygenated blood cannot be circulated to all the parts of the body. Systemic Sclerosis not only occurs in the skin but also in various organs like kidneys, liver, etc. leading to deregulation of body systems.
