A 58-year old male patient, known case of Haemophillia A, on periodic Factor VIII replacement therapy since childhood, was admitted with us with complaints of cough, fever and breathlessness of 2 days duration. He had a lower respiratory tract infection with no radiologic sign of consolidation on chest X-ray. We managed him with oxygen, antibiotics and antipyretics. He had a chronic Right knee arthropathy secondary to multiple episodes of spontaneous hemarthrosis in the said joint. His knee has developed extension deformity with grossly restricted movements due to secondary ankylosis. Moreover, his knee is painless.
